Match Preview : India Women vs Nepal Women

The Indian Women's Senior National Team is all set to host Nepal in an International Friendly at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The Match is set to kick off at 19:30 IST and set to be telecasted live on Fancode platforms.

The Women's team has been in a training camp at Chennai for the past one month preparing for the upcoming AFC Olympic Qualifiers First Round, where they have been grouped alongside Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan in Group G. Thomas Dennerby insists on improving the perfomance and playing style of the team and is not worried about the results of the upcoming friendlies. Speaking ahead of the game, Thomas added " We are not looking for results at the moment. Our main aim is to build the team for the Olympic Qualifiers, and these matches are part of that process."

The Blue Tigresses will be back in action after the 2022 SAFF Championship as they gear up for the clash against Nepal. Nepal knocked India out in the semi-finals of the 2022 SAFF Championship. Thomas Dennerby and his team will be hoping to take revenge against Nepal in home soil.

Team News:

India will be without the services of Captain Ashalata Devi who according to the coach needs ten more days to recover from her injury. They will also miss the services of young midfielder Ratanbala Devi who picked up a knock during friendly last week. Manisha Kalyan will be available for selection after returning to India from Cyprus where she plays for Apollon Ladies FC.
